Neaman Marcus Cake

This cake is one of my 3 most favorite cakes. It’s absolutely divine.

I learned a trick about how to make the crust moist enough to melt in your mouth. The original recipe I received by email years ago instructed to press the dough down tightly. I don’t do that part. I press the dough down very gently, lightly.

Here are the ingredients.
one SuperMoist Cake Mix, your choice of flavor, I always use “White”
one stick butter (softened at room temperature, do not melt it in a pan)
one 8 oz package cream cheese, softened to room temperature
one box powdered sugar
2 eggs

< the dough –┬áthe filling >

Pour the cake mix into a bowl, take a softened stick of butter and mix it in using a pastry cutter or a fork.

I use Baker’s Joy to spray the bottom and sides of the 9 x 13 pan or you can “grease and flour” the pan. Then pour the dough mixture into the pan and gently pat it down, do not forcefully press it down.

Mix together the softened cream cheese, 2 eggs and the box of powdered sugar.

Pour the filling mixture onto the dough.

Bake for exactly 45 minutes at 350 degrees until golden brown. Do not over bake.

I wish you could smell this… and taste this… right now. Oh my goodness sakes alive!! It is absolutely Delicious! Try it, I guarantee you’ll love it. This is a terrific holiday cake.
