This is my most favorite cake. I got the recipe from a neighbor lady about 22 years ago. She had a different name for it, which I found crude, so I changed the name. It’s Beard Man’s favorite cake too.
I like this cake because it has two kinds of chocolate in it but it’s not overwhelming.
1 box Golden Recipe Butter Cake Mix
4 eggs, well beaten
1 3 1/2 oz pkg Instant Vanilla Pudding Mix
4 oz bar Baker’s German Sweet Chocolate, grated
4 to 6 oz Semi Sweet Chocolate Mini Chips
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup oil
1 cup sour cream
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. I use Baker’s Joy to spray a bundt pan. Mix all of the above ingredients together. You do not follow the Cake Mix directions. I put the grated Baker’s German Sweet Chocolate bar and the mini chocolate chips into the mixing bowl last. Bake the cake for 50 minutes. Turn the oven off and leave the cake in the oven another 5 minutes. Then remove the cake from the oven and cool in the pan for 20 minutes. Remove the cake from the pan. Glaze the cake while still warm.
A little info… In this cake I prefer the Duncan Hines version but there is a Pillsbury SuperMoist version. The Pillsbury does taste a little different than my normal DH cake, but it’s still delicious.
Glaze: mix with wisp
1 cup powder sugar
3 to 4 tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla flavoring
Y’all try it, you’ll love it too.
