It’s All in The Perspective

It’s all in your perspective, whether you support socialism or not.

I was extremely disappointed in the Republicans caving in to Obama and his Democrat cronies, yet again. I have come to the conclusion that the Democrats are crooked elitist rulers and the Republicans are spineless cowards. I’m definitely looking at third party options this next election. House speaker John Boehner should be removed from the position of speaker. All he did was give in to the dem’s and make it look like he really “tried” to stand for the conservatives and stop Obamacare and stop raising the debt ceiling. Yup, you can tell I’m fed up with these middle of the road so-called conservatives.

Having said all that, I am sharing (paraphrasing) something I heard on the radio. I can’t remember if it was Sean Hannity show or Rush or another program. I didn’t hear the beginning or the end of the program but this makes a point.

Two liberals, a mother and her young daughter, were talking to a conservative man about how they support the wealth redistribution that the current administration is working toward bringing here to America. (It’s called socialism in other parts of the world.) The liberals thought this was a good way to take care of the poor.

The conservative man told the young girl, “You come over to my house on Saturday and do some yard work for me, mow the grass and rake leaves and such and when you’re finished, I’ll pay you $50. Then you take that $50 and go down to the mission and find a poor person and give it to them.” She thought about it for a bit and said to him, “Why don’t you just go hire the poor person to do the work and pay them the $50.”

Then she realized the point he was making. [Why should she work hard all day, just to go and give her hard earned money away, right?]

Instead of us working our tails off and giving our money away in higher taxes, why not put the poor people to work so they can pay their own way, and contribute to society too.

I am reminded of what the Apostle Paul wrote in 2 Thessalonians 3:10 …”If a man will not work, he shall not eat.”

Can you even imagine having your taxes go down? I mean way down? Instead of paying 30% in taxes, wouldn’t it make you feel better to pay just 10% in taxes and have the other 20% back in your own pocket?

To put that in real figures, look at it this way. If your household makes $50,000 annually and your taxes were cut down by 20%, you would have another $10,000 in your pocket to help your family. What could you do with another $10,000? You could do some investing, you could give more to charity or missions, get out of debt, help stock your local food bank (to help those poor people who “really” need it), take a vacation. Imagine what your family could do with that kind of money, every year.

Socialism does not work. What it will end up doing here in America, as it did in all other socialist countries, is kill entrepreneurship which will make fewer jobs available for those who want to work. Then many who currently work will deicide there’s no point in breaking their back to provide for the lazy non-working people so they’ll quit working and join the welfare-food stamp government benefit ranks. Then fewer people will be working and taxes will go up for those who are still working, to pay for more people on government support. It’s a vicious downward spiral that we are headed toward.

Most people don’t understand that the government does not have money of their own. They get their money from our taxes. If we want to lower taxes, we need to shrink the government and create more jobs so that more people will work.

There was a time not so long ago that there were plenty of jobs here in America and we were a prosperous nation. Then liberal politicians created more taxes on corporations so more companies started “outsourcing” jobs to other countries because it is cheaper to make the goods elsewhere and bring it back here to sell. America became an import nation more than an export nation. We are more of a consumer than a producer.

If we cut the government back and take away the corporate taxes to encourage companies to come back to America, we can begin to be a producer nation and maybe we’ll see prosperous times again.

You know what though. The best thing America could do is invite God back in. Put God back in the schools and back in government, back in America everywhere. I keep hearing that one last great awakening is coming. Yes, that’s the best thing that could happen to America.

Well, those are my thoughts.

PS. The Democrats are working on repealing the 22nd Amendment so Obama can stay in office after his second term. Sounds like we’re headed to a dictatorship. Call your congressmen/women to tell them you do NOT want the 22nd amendment repealed. Don’t just sit there in your lazy chair. Mid-term Elections are coming up and if your representatives want to stay in office, then make your voice heard loud and clear. Do you want to live in a free country or not? Participate wisely in the electoral process. Use your vote. It’s your right, and your duty!
