Sharing With You

This n That

OK, I know it just turned summer time, right. But what do you think I saw when I walked into Hobby Lobby yesterday? Autumn stuff; pumpkins, leaf garlands, wreaths, candles, wall plaques, garden stakes and such. Now you know autumn is my favorite season. So I counted the days on the calendar to the first day of autumn, Sep 22nd, and I have 91 days to wait. That’s way too long, almost a fourth of the year.

I looked in my closet forlornly at my pumpkin collection. I will be bringing you out at just the perfect time, pumpkin friends, to enjoy for a few months, Sep through November. Patience please. They sit on the top shelf of the linen closet. Does anyone out there like autumn as much as me?

I sat in the lobby area of Wal-Mart today while hubby made a return and a purchase. I watched people coming in and going out of the store. I was saddened by so much immodesty in women, old and young. Half bare behinds and breasts parading for all to see. It was kind of disgusting really. Makes me really miss the good ole 60’s when most women and girls dressed modestly. Here’s a good article on modesty. I’m sure most of you feel the same about the downturn of society concerning modesty.

I even see it in church. So many women and girls think it’s just being stylish. It’s being sinful, since Jesus told women to dress modestly. Women should not want to cause men to sin with lust, and since men are visually stimulated so much easier than women, we should cover our bareness so that we don’t cause them to stumble into sin. Jesus said if a man lusts after a woman, he has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

Enough of that. I have to get to bed. It’s after midnight and it’s a new week. Gotta get to work in about 8 hours. Y’all have a wonderful week!

Karen
